I recently bought Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 (BIA) in anticipation of playing with one of my former DOT supervisors, Paul. Paul had explained to me that this was a squad-based World War II game, but he really enjoys playing it online. Seeing how it was on sale, I bought a copy and started playing it. I was amazed at how easy it was to learn, yet it’s also challenging. I realized that I was hooked.
After a couple of weeks of trying to find time to play against each other online, Paul and I finally did so last night. Initially, we probably would’ve played Halo 2 or ESPN NFL 2K5. Since I purchased BIA, we chose to play that instead. It was actually a lot of fun. So if you’re looking for a fun yet challenging World War II game, I recommend this. Of course, I haven’t played any of the other WWII genre games, so I can’t compare BIA to them.
